Ogham Writing Pieces
Ogham is the ancient runic Irish alphabet, developed over fifteen hundred years ago after Irish visitors to Roman Britain had seen Latin writing. Each Ogham letter consists of a number of strokes made to the left or right of a vertical line. And the writing is read from bottom to top. Most surviving Ogham inscriptions are personal names carved on standing stones and date from the fourth and fifth centuries A.D.
